Automate the Mundane: Connect Daktela to 5,000+ Apps with Zapier

January 26, 2026

How much of your day is spent moving data from one window to another? You get an email in Gmail, and you have to manually create a ticket in Daktela. You add a new VIP contact in Daktela, and then you have to switch to Slack to tell your team.

It’s time to stop the busywork. With our native integration for Zapier, you can connect Daktela to over 5,000 web services and automate your workflows without writing a single line of code.

Why use Zapier with Daktela?

Zapier works on a simple "If this, then that" logic. It allows you to build automated workflows—called Zaps—that trigger actions based on specific events. This means your tools talk to each other automatically, 24/7.

Real-world examples of what you can automate:

  • Email to Ticket: Connect Gmail or Outlook to Daktela. When a specific type of email arrives (e.g., to your support@ address), Zapier automatically creates a New Ticket in Daktela so your agents can handle it immediately.
  • Team Notifications: Connect Daktela to Slack or Microsoft Teams. When a New Account or VIP Contact is created in Daktela, automatically post a message to your sales channel so the team can celebrate or take action.
  • SMS Confirmations: Enhance customer experience by connecting Daktela to itself or other communication tools. When a New Ticket is created, automatically trigger a Send SMS action in Daktela to confirm receipt to the customer.
  • Lead Capture: When someone fills out a form on your website (via TypeformJotForm, etc.), automatically trigger a Create CRM Record action in Daktela.

Triggers and Actions: The Building Blocks

The integration is robust, offering a wide range of triggers and actions that cover almost every aspect of Daktela.

  • Triggers (What starts the automation): You can start a Zap whenever a Ticket, Contact, Account, CRM Record, or Campaign Record is created or updated in Daktela.
  • Actions (What happens next): Based on triggers from other apps, Zapier can automatically Create or Update Tickets, Contacts, and CRM Records in Daktela. It can even perform communication tasks like Sending an SMSSending an Email, or Making a Call.

Note: Zapier uses a polling mechanism, meaning it checks Daktela for new triggers periodically (usually every 1 to 15 minutes, depending on your Zapier plan).

Advanced Features for Power Users

Need something more specific? The integration also supports Custom Code Actions. You can run JavaScript or Python snippets to handle complex logic, or make Custom API requests directly to Daktela. If a specific trigger isn't available, you can even use Webhooks to bridge the gap.

Setup: From Zero to Automated in 10 Minutes

You don't need a developer to make this work. The setup is designed for anyone to use.

1. Get your Access Token:

In Daktela, go to Manage → Users, open your user detail, and copy your Access Token.

2. Connect in Zapier:

Log in to Zapier, search for the Daktela app, and add a connection. You will be asked for your Daktela instance URL and the Access Token you just copied.

3. Create your Zap:

Now comes the fun part. Click "Create Zap," choose your Trigger (e.g., New Ticket in Daktela), and choose your Action (e.g., Create row in Google Sheets).

The integration capability is included in your Daktela Contact Center license (a separate subscription to Zapier may be required depending on your usage).
